One Two's-day of 2022
It's the 22nd of the second month of the year 2022! This day is the only 02222022 day of all times! It turned out to be popular because of its one-of-a-kind numbers. Well, there is also a reason for me to remember this day because of what I have truly experienced today.
It started at almost 2 PM. As always, I was busy at work and had too many things in mind when out of the blue, I got a text from the dentist's office. I thought it was the usual survey thing that they send after each dental visits. However, there was something in me that prodded me to look at the details. It says, "Once at the parking lot, give us a call 15 minutes before your scheduled visit." It still didn't sink in to me. Why am I getting this message when I know nothing is scheduled for the day?, I thought. As I scrolled back to see the previous message threads, I realized that it was for my husband's dental follow-up! I immediately called the dental office and apologized that my hubby cannot make it because I'm still at work and I asked for it to be rescheduled. The lady on the other end was helpful but at the same time, she informed me that since I called in late to cancel the appointment, I have to pay $$$. Well, I quipped, what can I do but accept the consequence? After I hanged up the the phone, I was led to check my calendar and there it is, my hubby's schedule for 2:50pm. Two-fifty PM?! Right now it's still 1:54 PM so I still have time to rush! I called back the dental office. I explained to them that I got confused with the time and that my hubby can make it because I can pick him up and bring him to their office as scheduled. I was told that I still have to do the 15-minute check-in prior to his actual appointment which is at 2:35 PM or else they will have to consider it as cancellation. I was also told that check-in time closes at 3:00 PM for those scheduled at 3:15 PM appointment. I replied back that my hubby can actually make it but at the back of my mind, I was silently praying for a miracle. Immediately, I hurried in picking up my office stuff and ran straight to the parking lot. It was drizzling but cooler so at least I never have to worry about sweating a lot from the stress I have created because of forgetfulness.
2:00 PM - still at the parking lot but vehicle's moving toward the campus gate to exit
2:05 PM - called home to remind hubby to get dress and be ready for pick-up soon
2:15 PM - still on the road and having palpitations while trying to stay alert and calmer with bubble thoughts: Oh Lord, please help me make it today ...
2:25 PM - almost at my house but the traffic lights weren't that quick to turn the green lights on!
2:30 PM - at the driveway to pick up hubby
2:35 PM - called the dental office to check-in but the rain suddenly poured down heavily so it took as time to be in.
2:46 PM - we made it at the dental office -- Pah! We won't have to pay for the cancelation penalty
2:50 PM - hubby on the dental chair -- Sigh! Everything turned OK
Thankful once again for the Lord's miracle and protection. He made it possible for me and hubby to get to our destination in a timely manner. Again, He has demonstrated His greatness even at a short notice. A good reminder to never give up and never question God's capacity but to only trust in Him.
Looking back, everything on this day, happened within the number 2 -- the date and the time. Indeed, what a Two's-day it is!
