One excerpt day
A dear friend of mine updated her single friends who weren’t able to join a mini-gathering with some thought-provoking questions. She titled them as Excerpts in reference to what transpired during their meeting with a long-time friend whom she recently rekindled with another close friend of ours.
In reply to her excerpt questions, I sent her a piece of my senseless and a few sensible thoughts:
Are you still hoping to meet someone you dream of?
Multiple choice answers:
a. Mm-hmmm
b. Yes
c. No
d. I don’t know
e. Que sera sera ,,,
f. All of the above
If yes, then where is he, why can’t he find you?
Multiple choice answers:
a. He’s still married
b. He’s already engaged
c. He’s waiting for me to make the first move
d. He turned out to be gay
e. He’s already dead
f. His divorce is pending
g. a and f are true
h. b and c are true
i. All of the above
j. None of the above
Is it true that for every woman, there’s a man to complete her, a man destined to be someone’s lifetime partner?
Multiple choice answers:
a. No, some people are meant to stay single but happy
b. Yes, some are meant to be married but miserable
c. Yes period.
If this man didn’t come, how are you to live your life doing a noble existence different from the priorities of a married woman?
Enjoy life, cherish every moment and thank God for His blessings.
Are you open for a May-December affair or December-May affair, whatever it is called?
To be his mother’s image? No thanks, I’m happy without the affair.
If you do find the man that you’ll love, since we’re almost past child bearing age, is loving a man more of a need to have a companion than to have biological children?

Do you regret not having children you can call your own?
Yes and no.
Why have we remained single?

Somebody who’s sincere, courteous, God-fearing man with a sense of humor; loves to travel and loves my family; not intimidated of who I am and not insecure of who he is but not conceited as well; who is very supportive in all aspects; a Pierce Brosnan look-alike, an artist, a writer, and … and … and the list goes on …
So, does my man exist? Yes, only in my dreams …

Does he exist? Yes, he is, not just in your dreams but in reality. He may be somewhere stuck in a traffic finding his way to reach you...
So, Pierce Brosnan look alike, I thought it was Roger Moore. The other friend wants a Hugh Jackman (Wolverine, in X-Men)look alike. Tsk, tsk, I think, cloning would be a good idea, so everybody will be happy.
